Canon MVX350i-Anschluss externes Mikrofon RODE SVM

Canon MVX350i external connector Microphone RODE SVM

Frage von arteg:
August 2007

The connection of the camcorder designed specifically for stereo microphone "RODE SVM" None lead to improved audio recording to the built-Micro.
The connection was made, as in the Canon instructions described by setting up and plugging in the mic jack. The RODE-Instructions has now, the audio control at the Camera to about 3 / 4 to provide the optimal signal to receive. Just can not discern where in the menu or anywhere else in the Camera Audio Control is provided. The description is nothing like this.
Did I miss something? Who can give me a tip to give a better sound?

This information is useful if you then the sound of manual kanst disqualify. What in your camera as I do not see it, so you do not make synonymous.

Thanks for the quick reply.
On the manual I like dowry could forgo. The problem is that a recording with the mic connected RODE, just sounds like a recording with only the internal mic. It seems that despite the camcorder cable connection with the external microphone does not detect this and only on the internal host.

Who can help me here?

Normally, the internal micro off once via an external jack with the camcorder is connected. If the Rode so would have a defect or the battery is empty, should you therefore do not absorb more sound. If the Rode but is ready for the cable in the correct jack is and you still only the sound of the built-Mikros hear, then fell to me as an explanation only a defective microphone jack s.der Camera On. Do you have the opportunity to Rode s.einer other times Camera to test? Or you might just take audio may be on, under which such stereo microphone no audible big improvement over the built brings?

Bernd Thanks for the quick response I got because of the absence until now was open. The recordings s.denen I tested had been recording music (guitar and vocals), so that the difference has to be heard should be. The Battery is a new one. But I will begin the Rode times s.einer try another camera. Thanks again.
