Hello,
I've borrowed from the lender ne Canon XHA1. Unfortunately, it does not detect a computer via FireWire (3, I've tried). Have already read through all the settings through the manual, googled, used a second cable, but it is not recognized.
It is not yet capturing killed, but the PC will finally see the only thing. Viste and XP operating system I had available. An old DV Cam detects the PC without any problems.
Since I returned early Monday have the Cam, it is urgent and I hope that many competent answers.
When I received my HDV tapes in an old CAM use and thus dub, it will be not a HDV, because the sampling is a whole other, right?
So, it's really urgent.

Score: FW defective (at least, would then only camera side, since the DV - Cam indeed work). I myself did not happen, but many times friends.
Second possibility: The camera was eventually resetet ". Did not the manual handy, but there is a setup menu in the "Time Zone", etc., must be entered in any case. Without this setting, the camera is not recognized on FW.
Have you checked the camera and point two (in the mode VCR / Play!) Through the Control Panel (or, as in the win) is not detected, probably applies to point one.

Firewire needs to be adjusted until the System Setup (DV-control AN) of the XHA1, plus there should be NO connection to the Calculator! If everything is configured, you can see in the viewfinder / LCD the symbol "IT" with an arrow.

DV - Control I can only set in the cam mode and there is synonymous with the DV an arrow to see.
When I am in VCR mode there is no arrow, and this can not turn synonymous in the menu.
A hard nut to crack here.

zum Bild Also, meine XHA1 mal eben s.Vista 32 angeschlossen, sofort wird " HDV / DV -IN" im LCD eingeblendet and SonyVegas 9 Pro kann sofort die Files vom tape digitize. Firewire abgezogen verschwindet diese Meldung im LCD.
Funktioniert die Meldung denn in deinem LCD synonymous wie der rote Pfeil es im Picture oben zeigt?
