There are some contributions to this problem is already x-fold, excuse please, I glabe they've all read and synonymous Markus' sticky thread 'If Firewire is not (right) works "durchgecheckt, but I'm still baffled ... slow and desperate.
Following: Wishes via firewire of my SonyDCR-TRV14E films in the highest quality (DV-AVI, 25Mbps) through play, have it in Adobe Premiere Pro tries in Pinnacle Studio 8 and even in Windows Movie Maker - it will be at least 10% of the frames and gedroppt Picture + Sound Jerkiness very strong. But only with AVI, not reduced quality. Wmv.
My system: - Windows XP (SP1) - AMD Athlon, 1.8 GHz, 1.5 MB RAM - Hard disks (RAID Mirror) are new, IBM Deskstar, over 80 GB of free space, NTSF - Graphics card: ASUS NVidia GeForce 900GS (Drivers 22.214.171.12421, Dec. 2007) - Runs via Firewire IEEE 1394 card (OHCI compliant), the included drivers are not so new of 2001 (5.1.2535.0)
What I've tried: - Camcorder and cable to another PC successfully tested - A variety of software (Premiere, Pinnacle, WMM) - Virus scanner disabled and even uninstalled, synonymous Other Programs (firewall, etc. off for the capture process) - Hard drive has more than enough space (80GB) - Firewire card is OHCI-compliant - DirectX 9.0c installed
My system should be powerful enough, had up to a hard disk crash no problems. Only after installation of new hard disks (same model, however) and reinstallation of Windows came on this problem. So it is perhaps s.irgendwelchen Prorgammen or settings (or codecs), or it could possibly synonymous Firewire card that I have also newly built. What do you think? Please?
