Now I want the video, which I took to bring my PC.

Then I am the Movie Maker, in the camera to playback mode, the video had started and simultaneously the recording, but when I watch the video I just get a pixel salad.

How can I use the video without quality loss capturing? And what am I doing wrong? Is something with the camera?

Please help

Recording codec should be DV-AVI. If it does not work with MM, you can times it synonymous with other programs, for example try with the free WinDV (http://windv.mourek.cz/).

Hi.

Thus the capture now works, have just had something wrong. But now I have another question:

If I use the video in DV-AVI format is the capture quality is super, but the file is just huge in size. I would like to find a format that the size and quality in a reasonable ratio represents. Have been as good as all tried ader (High quality, 2.1 mb / s) but since the videos are always relatively small and the quality is not synonymous impressive. What is there still opportunities for good quality with good size verieinen?

DV is the format, the size and quality in a reasonable ratio represents. It compresses of about 32 MB / s to 3.6 Mb / s down, is intra-coded frame and thus optimally suited for the editing. The developers have a little more thinking.

Only for the final output (for distribution) come höherkomprimierende Interframe codecs come into play, such as MPEG1/2/4 and related derivatives.

At the species that are now customary according to the opposition to begin:
Yes, I know that in HDV and AVCHD is different. But - oh well. . . Forget it

If I Moviemaker another format, such as 2.1 mb / sec, is always in the file. Wmv format. I want my videos at all on the PC, in good quality, but I do not have as much capacity for each 1-hour movie to use 13 GB.

What is there still opportunities?

Oh man ........
The Movie Maker is a forest-and-meadow Allerwelts-Anyone-amateur amateur-editing program that is free of Microsoft such Vfg. is made. And since it is of Microsoft, there is content from WMV files because the WMV format is synonymous of Microsoft.

2.1 MB / s (PAL) is for your purposes the best of what the movie makers made. It creates a WMV 720x576 25 fps with a data rate of 2.1 MB / s.
That you can save on your computer and watch via WMP.
The next, what the MM being made, then stop DV with 3.6 MB / s.

The question is: Why do you want all your original footage on the PC, if not cutting it?

The answer from the above issue you will find a suitable Compression. Read this story about this time (but please, until the very end):
