Hi All,
If I change the codec in the sequence settings, after I the HD Quick Time movie had already been imported into FCP7, then the quality deteriorated?
In that case, I had originally H.264 and had changed after the import of the codec in the sequence set to ProRes.
Regards
Chris

ProRes is the all-around intermediate of Final Cut Pro. You can set the sequence so different, from the footage codec. How do you do it well. However, it is synonymous prior to import into Final Cut Pro convert all the clips with Compressor in ProRes ( "stack"). A difference in quality does not exist. ProRes () is simply faster than imported footage in the preview rather than the highly compressed H.264. So a difference in real time.

Hello,
the material is to be imported. mpg4 material (HD Movie from Canon) and. H264 encoded.
I'm trying to convert the times before (stack) to ProRes and look what is happening.
Thank you.
