True wide-angle lenses are only for camcorders with interchangeable lenses.
You mean probably Lens Attachments. They work like Opera gazers, depending on the direction in which we see through shrink or enlarge the picture to the eye and certainly synonymous for non-Lens Noname your HC9.
And yes, cheap Prefixes lens quality can significantly worsen including CA and no intent, no preference how expensive it can be improved.
