Infoseite // Combustion 4, with HDV material is really very slow, my God

Frage von pierrehansen:

Good day together.

I've been using for several days with great interest the "Combustion 4". However, I must note that the program with imported HDV material is incredibly slow. If I would like to play a track, without any operator, then I have all the 2! fps. The calculator on which I work is quite fast. Dual Core, 2 GB Ram. Premiere Pro 2.0 can be over 6 parallel tracks HDV playback without bucking.

An issue causing great confusion for me at every level, the graphics card. Several contributions have posted that the graphics card rather little to do, then write that but others turn. OPEN GL as a keyword? So, I have a slightly older graphics card Geforce 6200, or as a leftover from my calculator before that and immediately would be ready against a better exchange. However, the purchase would be for me is not worth it when there are at Combustion 4 is not doing. Games or something like that I do not and I just think it makes sense then a "fast" card, or I see this wrong?

Do I import files with the extension. M2t what HDVSplit generated.

On the website of autodesk I unfortunately could not find hardware recommendations. Can I perhaps someone help? A hot so I type, if überhauopt, synonymous to buy an appropriate card.

Addendum: What I do notice is an increase in disk activity while playing, when playing because of the question. What has more of a slideshow. The hard drive seems in this case with the Ausbremser to be. If I use the. Mpeg2 with the Media Player or another player, there are no problems. Requires Combustion may provide a particular disk configuration?

I thank and salute!

If neither with one nor with the other to do so. The films have simple and moving into "real" pixels to be converted for processing to be available, which means they can not as an overlay, as in media player and displayed every frame must be seen as discrete RGB buffer available. Since c * do not own optimized codecs has used it just to what Windows can and this is now not so dolle. Since the use of synonymous fastest Calculator nix. Premiere has its own routines and editing program is obviously synonymous very differently, of the comparison, therefore, prefers not because certain steps do not occur. That is what some drivel about pure OpenGL Kaffesatzleserei. The disk activity is simply the cache, so that not everything always needs to be re-converted. BTW: After Effects 7 has exactly the same problems, only s.CS3 it's much better. Broadly speaking and you just have to live with it.

Hi Mylenium,

Thank you for your detailed reply. Did I ever helped next. Something like in the direction I guessed. I wonder now whether it is appropriate codecs so that faster running. Any solution would have to give it. It would in any case does not speak for the program if it is not an option, there would, at first a less compute-intensive "Preview" to handle the rendering and it can take time then yes. (Excuse my slang expression, I'm with the matter, unfortunately, not so familiar.)

Why is everything always so complicated.

Thank you very much. Regards. Pierre

Combustion is simply damn lame ...
So you can get a faster preview, you can reduce the quality if you want. Otherwise I know no other possibilities.

Hello Pierre,

Combustion in there is the possibility of "proxies" to produce. That means it is used for processing Videofile with the quarter or half or what ever you want synonymous created to work with at least a bit faster of the hand. Once everything is so reasonably it looks like you can imagine the smaller Videofile again with the originals and can replace the ordinary can render video.
Do you if you have the footage (the video you've uploaded inside) and you then select the tab "Controls Footage" here. Can be synonymous between the videos and her turn out to compare whether all hinhaut anyway.
Otherwise ... as long as the sequences that you edit? If it is only short shots then it can act synonymous first from your editing program as uncompressed TIFF sequence (Combustion has s.liebsten) issue and to work with. Combustion is thus more or less afloat.

No, there is not. Except with proxies or converted clips to work, can not evade. Even if you as the Canopus CoDec install the system, the whole process remains largely unchanged because the optimizations outside the Canopus Programs hardly draw. If, then c * would even have s.Bord appropriate routines (such as Core Media in After Effects CS3), which brings nothing else.

Hi Rob and Mylenium,

you gave me already a great help, thank you for that. I will with the TIFF's proxies and the next try. Sounds very promising. I can only in 2 days s.den calculator and will report back if my attempts were successful. Goodbye!
