Hi,
I work with s.Mac FCS and would shrink with the Apple Compressor 3.5.2 Resolutionmeines the 720p25 video at 640x360 the half. In Compressor I go for it, after selection of my video and the settings on geometry-> Dimensions-> Resolution-> 50% of the original. The videos that come out after the export is just 7MB or less (150MB -> 143MB). , I thought that I can with half the Resolutionauch save a little more s.speicherplatz. I have picked up somewhere on the Internet, the synonymous Compressor only the display but not the actual video schrupft behind it. This can not be true, right?
Have the same video synonymous with Quicktime to half of Resolutionreduzieren want, there came to the same effect.
I am at a loss, the file size can not be the same at 1280x720 and 640x360 ?!?!?!?
Please help.
Hope I have forgotten to mention nothing of what might be important.

The file size is influenced even with the data rate. There you can reduce the image size back to something. One of the Resolutionkleineres Video or Picture may consume even more space, than a large one. Depending on the data rate.

ok, that's right. 3000kbps remain synonymous with 640x360 3000kbps.
which would make it as synonymous, but then again the general understanding:
if I have the resolution, the same data rate, but reduces synonymous less visual information is stored, right? -> Smaller file
