Hello dear community,
I have a question. I have recently seen several videos of concerts on youtube. I know that is not always the best qualities that you wish for, but I make Vidoes synonymous s.and to those when I'm at a concert, just as a reminder.
Now I've noticed many times (synonymous for me) that with some exposure on stage, filmed the actor is often over-exposed. Can anyone tell what I can change because s.der Camera for better exposure get added?

Relatively simple.
S.den is mostly dark backgrounds and the many light that gotten the cast.
Our eye has no problem, but the camera very well, because it does not have the dynamics of our visual system.
How to avoid?
Difficult ...
- (Do) well illuminate the background, lighting design must be optimized on Camera
- Use good cameras with good adjustment range
- AUTOMATIC avoid and shoot only manual / and possibly later expose the dark to improve in the post

The problem is the automatic metering of the camera, which can not distinguish between the illuminated light singer (major subject) and very dark background (unimportant subject). The large black areas cause the camera to open the aperture and thereby lighten the picture. What is meant well, but reversed course to the contrary, since in this way synonymous s.sich the already bright singer even brighter - and indeed too bright, so overexposed.
Fortunately, the remedy is simple: When the focus is always, take with manual aperture control, because then you can expose a handle with the right singer and the drinks just as unimportant background in black. Others, the possibility exists if s.der Camera: The Automatic announce SPOTLIGHT by setting that they intended to frame exposure s.den bright spots in the picture. Or the singer takes the size of the picture that the background can not distort the measurement.
