I dub of my Hi8 camera with a AV / DV card on my calculator as AVI files. When I had about an hour s.Filmmaterial together, I burn it on DVD. However, since my PC is not exactly the most optimal equipment for video editing, rendering takes can be burned to DVD nearly 6 hours. Now to my question: Studio 9 offers you possibility to synonymous as an MPEG movie file (DVD auzuspielen compatible). Since I'm basically video recordings of our young ones usually 5 to max. Last for 10 minutes, it would be seen of her time easier for me, after dubbing the clip to convert the same into MPEG2 format, which takes it from 0.5 to 1 hour per clip. If I use this it will not burn MPEG2 files in DVD Studio, Studio starts, although synonymous before creating the DVD see at render, but the whole here, then go fairly rapidly (1 hour movie in under 2 minutes).
Now to my real question here Render Studio 9 MPEG files really a second time? Thus, if a pre-compressed MPEG-compressed file again and is thus a loss of quality linked? Given the speed, is rendered in it, I would actually say "no". As for me, however, is somewhat confused by the fact that there where the free or busy time is displayed on the DVD for quality is 72% instead of 100% when I am the original AVI files rendere.
Would be cool if I could bring some light into the darkness as one.
Antwort von Markus:
even good MPEG encoder can convert a movie with not one hour run time in two minutes. But if you look at the file structure of times a video DVD, you will search in vain for the original MPEG2 files. The multiplexes were in fact and in the VOB container packed, which has previously tasted for a moment computation.
Antwort von GhostDog:
If I have understood correctly, I will so I can therefore proceed without another Qulitätsverlust suffer.
Thank you very much
Antwort von Markus:
Right. If only multiplexes (short computation time), then s.den actual MPEG2 data is changed anything. Multiplexing is that every program before the data can be burned as a video DVD. ;-)
