Infoseite // Cutter Demoreel-uswith references from TV ... Right?

Frage von Wallaby:

Hi everyone :-)

I'm standing right in front of more of the less tricky matter in my demo reel cut - and have some legal questions about vsein ...

The reel is made up of several parts: first, from free productions in which I made possible usalles (Camera, concept, post, etc.) - there's everything so far been resolved with the customer, with the "co-creation", synonymous with the models - who are in agreement with a Verwurschtelung the material ;-)

Most of my references are synonymous but references section of magazines, documentaries and features - to the ard, arte, WDR, kika are gone, etc ... Of course depend a lot turn right (the transmitter, the author, the director of photography, the photographed people, music, etc. etc.) ... I have played with the idea to then load the reel on my site - but then it is accessible to all and a quote law does not cover the self-promotion, right? Also, I would have to review each so synonymous parts can no longer, so that the whole section as a reference makes sense - otherwise it can be seen not so, as it was originally cut (why would the music may remain synonymous synonymous of Comment) .. .

How do you do the other editors? I could reel synonymous encrypted file upload, or send them, but then there's always still a risk that it ends up somewhere else ...

So - if anyone here has a tip for me, bring it on! Because first I want no trouble ;-) And second, it is important for me synonymous principle injure, nofremden rights ...

I say thank you :-) schonmal
Greetings

Kerstin

If you have a finished movie, you s.dem as a film editor, of course, have a joint copyright for all to see them on websites, you can of course problems with other co-creators and rights holders get, because you do not deceive your feeling.

How do you imagine for your acquisition of this in practice? If people look at random on your website and then decide for yourself as a film editor? Or is the home page rather to inform people about yourself that you know somehow, or at least have something of you have heard?

Is it perhaps better to send each prospective concrete suitable references? So I would do it. Once you know what someone would like to cut, I would send them individually what, about what fits with what he has before.

But I say to you: An editor does has significant influence on the exact design of a film, but ultimately it is any good editor editor, of whose work is noted in the end nothing. If I notice a pattern, then it already does what is not. So I think that rather include other aspects, such as the question of how well you get along with each other ...

Hello :-)

First of all, thank you for the detailed answer!

Well - there is such and such a cut - an invisible cut a good editor always dominated (as is so often made synonymous with magazines, etc.) - but I've already synonymous cut trailer that look very jagged, or with Bluebox were made - as then at least you can already tell whether the cutter as a flair for pace, Music or compositing has. Otherwise, yes it goes actually synonymous with a list of the references - if someone cuts me out of growth periods, then you can even imagine what synonymous among them - without seeing it. Somehow this not be so easy, the camera people have it as easy ;-)

The HP is to be there to provide an overview of my person, I find it practically refer to Kundenkntakten it. When does the right candidates may really different - maybe I'll actually 2 Reels-one with their own things and one that refers to the section and that is not public ...

Too bad, I thought I could turn it into a round thing, because it belongs together igendwie yet: - /

Hmm ...
