Hello,
I am relatively new at the video - editing. I work s.Music video clips with Liquid 5th Now I have the last couple of days eindigitalisiert material. Unfortunately, I noticed only now that I have invited all the material stored as DIF and. On average, course I've learned that I should always save everything as AVI.
Now my questions.
1. Do I necessarily with AVI's work, or is it synonymous with DIF files. 2. What is the difference between AVI and DIF is
3.If I want to work with AVI files, I can convert files into AVI files with DIF Liquid. Or must I make all things new.
Wär echt cool if someone has an answer for me.

Both types of files contained in Liquid exactly the same data, only the "trappings", the containers are different.
But there is one consequence: If you find an gecapturete as an AVI file you want to edit later with another program that goes (; because Microsoft DV codec). A DIF file is limited to my knowledge on Liquid.
If you spend all of your video tape as the raw material and can keep the finished product as AVI (profuse, not to export), then you have to do anything next.
If you have the same shots later times with a different program and want to edit the tapes no longer have the access or wish to have, then you should edit the tapes before any options again capture as AVI. Synonymous or you can make it back out of Liquid AVIS. Might go faster than a new reading. To put the clip on the Time Line and fusing.
For processing in liquid, there are differences in any way! So you need nothing to do, get started than with the cut ....

5 Series with which version you work with? You should try (to get to 5.62, Build 1900). This is the last and greatest version of the 5 Series before 6.x with "behind the scenes" extensive changes have taken place in the software.

I work with a 5.5 version and am not really happy with that, since it rarely freezes, but every once and then be closed through the task manager needs. Very annoying. Tells you where I may accidentally find another 5er version. Have synonymous Studio 12, but not yet tried. I'm happy with the 5 version just came clear.

I work with the above 5.62 errors for many years-and absturzfrei. The version is freely available and is just about 5.5. installed. I had the download link below the word "linked here" in my last post.

Studio 12 is more modern than Liquid 5.x. Liquid but has more options. I do not know if you want after the incorporation with liquid still working with studio, especially if you want to put a lot of traces stacked (; example:) for titles
On the other studio will (; still maintained), while the "big brother" Liquid (; 7.x) of AVID unfortunately not developed anymore (and, although in parts of Liquid Studio Code are included).
