Frage von Powerframe:

Hello everybody ....

As I am soon to draw 7D, but will have some questions ... ..
My questions are not directed himself s.The 7D, because of which one has to read enough =)
I'm doing my 7D to HighDef. To take photographs and films in the Alpine area. Since Stillimage and Film in is s.Gewicht saves you a lot. After 8 hours on a tour with difficult conditions, it is not to lug around any missing grams glad to have it.
As no doubt aware, it is warm in the winter of 3000 was not a pleasant 20 ° C.
Our trips are usually 2-3 days, and will usually stay in an igloo or a bivouac. It is with temperatures of up to -25 ° C to be expected. At lower temperatures, do I have to me more about my own health and not worry about these concerns of the Canon:)
In the winter we have in the Swiss Alps, extremely dry climate.
I Will probably move up a water and one Pelibox.
Also it is clear to me that the Batteries must be worn when not otherwise s.Körper as these 1 ... 2 ... 3 ... are empty.

Has anyone of you experience of SLR cameras in the mountains / mountains.
As it is with the temperatures, it is still possible that at -10 ° C max. + - Use -25 ° Celsius.
Safe Handling of use, etc. next to the Cam synonymous for an expedition to prevent damage?
As siehts with the lenses according to subzero temperatures like?

As the cam is to be protected, if at night the temperatures fall below zero and s.Tag the temperatures warming above freezing through the sun rise? (Humidity, condensation not forget), we have no hut to dry!

I only want the best for the cam, but it is synonymous to me clear that these relationships will considerably shorten the lifespan of the Canon.

Thank you for your help ...

I take away privately for years of Canon DSLRs to the mountains for hiking, climbing or skiing with. So far, it has never been any problems here, with no preference whether EOS 350D, 400D, 450D, 40D or 5D.
In the NoName Batteries have just proven models, such as the original of Canon. The outside temperature certainly plays a role, but the camera can be synonymous times longer time hung in freezing temperatures without allowing that the battery does limp. Those who camped, at least as the Batteries in a resealable plastic bag and then pack into a sleeping bag. Generally, these re-sealable plastic bags, a very fine thing for such actions.
The smuggling of large Lenses like the 70-200mm f / 2.8 for hard routes was a real obstacle, but technically there was never a breakdown. Today, I take only the Sigma 18-50mm f / 2.8 with, which in my eyes makes the cleanest picture in this focal length range, and moreover is very favorable. Something has to be careful when stowing the Lens: Normally, you put the in your pocket - there is but quickly condensed water through sweat. This then leads to the resealing of lens fogging or icing.

For the foreseeable temperatures, I would recommend you a Nikon F3 HP (!!!). To my knowledge there is for the F3 to an external power supply - which means you can Batteries (Mignon bear!) Always s.Körper. Man with her can of course turn any movies - however, this makes at 3000m synonymous with Globig gloves makes no sense. As you can probably just use a cell phone to shoot.
