DV PAL 16:9 in Final Cut Pro with log xh a1

I'm still not quite warm with my new xh A1 and would now synonymous nor dv pal log record material in Final Cut Pro and. 've Always kept all the settings in hdv, both in Final Cut Pro as synonymous with the action. But now I need to make the camera in the menu somehow understandable that they should pass dv pal material? The new settings in Final Cut Pro would have to agree, but when I log / record the transmission breaks off after 3 seconds ??????
Stand on the tube! Help!

On this issue there was a lot of threads recently. At best you are going, if you accept that Firewire needs the correct settings:
In Final Cut Pro> Easy Setup> DV Pal
In A1: DV Pal
Caution: Disconnect before you can change the menu FW connection.

DV HDV is inferior in every respect, is synonymous SD if the output target.
- Same data rate, therefore no different space
- With modern computers no performance difference
- Higher quality of SD scaled to smaller HD (on the issue, not the capture), no preference, which is the output target, but especially for DVD.

Therefore: Forget DV.

Erstamal Dabke for the quick reply. The problem: The display after inserting this Fremdkassette DV 16:9. In Final Cut I have set all the settings to PAL but my camera I can not change anyway. I think the menu does not switch the function hdv. Signal Setup has listened well, but has not worked. I hope these questions lay not annoying, but I come with the camera within a clearly not correct.

If the display is DV is DV synonymous come out via FireWire, I suppose. Hochkonvertieren will not do so.

In Final Cut Pro use the Easy Setup DV PAL anamorphic Basic "(Canon Basic needs this special version). This Final Cut Pro is the back of the front to set properly, you must never try around indiscriminately. Should work Sun

Mode> VCR, then Menu: Signal Setup> SP-Play> DV. The latter can only be selected (by-switchable), if the camera - as described - is separated from the FW. Also in the Manual as described.

Probably, but still need the output to "Automatic" or "DV" position. Whether that has to do with what the three seconds? I do not synonymous.

I love this forum:) Thanks Jott and Axel - the combination of your answers was my solution, finally it works. Probably both, I just program as synonymous camera adjusted so that my full rotation s.Montag goes in the pants;)
