Hello
I have a hard drive filled with DVCPRO50 files. My QT (and synonymous AE, Avid and Premiere) show only a beautifully white Picture. For hours now, I search for a suitable codec, but nothing helps.
It's not! Or because you have to buy what? (eg of MainConcept).
someone ne idee?

If you've tried with QT ... QT Pro?
The codec you get only in the Pro package, because it is for "Otto Normalverbaricher" synonymous nix uses.
But that ... not an issue ....

Well then tell us something for a player or what editing program you use ... The fact that someone umpteen DVCPRO50 - Clips only wants to watch is rarely synonymous;)

It should and must be in the Avid Xpress cut. The import works but how gesag not. The Avid Support synonymous I could not really help. It was verutet that s.einer old QT version could (6.5). There, I can not upgrade to 7 because the well with the rel. Avid Xpress old not tolerate.
Therefore, I wanted the files to another PC (with QT 7 Pro) to run bring to them if necessary (with After Effects or squeeze) into an Avid-format conversion to be able to. But it works as I say not synonymous. I would be quite happy if I at all times with what QT would see ....

G-Spot says:
File Type: Quicktime (.MOV / QT)
Mime Type: video / quicktime
And the Quicktime player says
Video: DVCPRO50 - PAL, 720x576

On the Mac, a friend, however, it runs smoothly. Seems to be a PC / QT problem. ARGH
