Infoseite // DVD s.PC darker than s.Television

Frage von Torsten222:

Hello,

DVDs, z. B. from the video are in my experience s.Television brighter than on many PC screens. (for television, they are the brightness of her best s.PC often too dark.)

If I now as an industrial film on DVD für nen customers make the s.seine these customers would like to send, then you obviously do not know whether the s.PC DVDs or s.Television be viewed.

Would it be advisable - of the Helligkeit6 forth - produce two versions, which can optionally select the DVD menu could be? Or are there any other standards?

Hello Torsten,

this is exactly the crux of the matter. In Television, there are certain standards that are synonymous when newer flat screens do not necessarily think it (contrast and color saturation are often set too high).

In computer monitor, however, each user can tinker in the settings and many are doing so more or less synonymous considered, depending on the monitor and personal preference. The result is often a colorful variety of all possible display types. How do you want each and every output device settings to meet?

I would with a reference to solve the DVD: "If the contents of this Picture-/Tonträgers on your computer monitor too dark to appear, please check the setting of the graphics card for playback of video tapes."

Hi,

with the reference to the DVD, I think a good idea.

However, my CRT monitor is calibrated and still seems to me a lot darker than TV screens to be.

On what PC monitors are brighter because the DVDs? TFT?

Antwort von Torsten222:

So on TV, they are generally brighter and on TFTs usually synonymous. On CRT's too dark.

So I use a reference to the DVD black level s.TV set. The contrast, I then differentiated among white clouds like one.

On my TFT is true black and does not contrast too high. Even after correction, it seems still to radiate.

I think the brightness and contrast should s.besten on a CRT with a reference to the DVD is adapted to be determined. When it does not fit must stop another device (TFT) be readjusted.

Where can I get the DVD as a reference?

You speak only of computer monitors? - Here you can enable console that professionals are aware of the differences are and if in doubt, a combination DVD player and CRT video monitor set.

Laity, however, it s.ihrem not monitor each other and will be accustomed to the standard deviation hardly perceive as an image error.
