Vorrausgesetzt you already Mpeg2 files are created out of Compressor:

Open DVD Studio Pro. Push the same time "F3". Then you have the best view with timeline. Kinda the professional view.

Put on the mpeg2 file including synchronized audio tracks in the timeline below.
Ie:
Best you take Dolby Digital, so AC3. You have the film (video) from Final Cut Pro to export to Compressor. With DVD Best quality 90 minutes. 4:3 or 16:9 and progressive depending on the source material. For you this is interlaced, because you have HDV.
After you export to export the sound (soundtrack or so) separately from Final Cut Pro and choose the "Audio" in the Compressor "Dolby 5.1"

In the timeline later in DVD Studio Pro, do you prefer pure video and soundtrack. Best synchronously;) are then two beautiful tracks (the other) inside the bottom.
Then you look into these colorful images on the left ... The graphical view. These select the tab "outline" instead of the current "Graphics". Does the German but different. Clicking on the DVD icon. "Untitled Disc". Bottom right you have a properties window of the "whole DVD." There is the pull-down menu First Play. These select "Tracks -> Track 1 -> Track. Look to the obligatory "PAL" and "SD" are set. The self-running DVD is almost ready. Look to the top of the bar with colorful icons under the menu bar. Click on "Simluation. If a DVD player window will appear and your movie is going out of himself, it worked. The simulation window, you can click away.
Now we compile the DVD yet: Menubar -> File -> Advanced Burn -> Create
You then need to specify a folder that is to be rendered into.
Then he expects something. The result should be "Compile successfully."
Next: Menu bar -> File -> Burn Advanced -> Format.
In the dialog you need reinschreiben some things. For example, the name of the DVD. Un output format you choose. "Img". Click on "Format", choose file path and OK.
These ready-made, created. Img file "from the Finder or you can burn with toast to a blank DVD.

This DVD but has no menu or anything. The only runs itself, and nothing else. It should run on ANY DVD player.

PowerMac answer in all honesty: if you are working with the MAC and just want to build a bootable DVD, I recommend iDVD.
Funzt is simple and intuitive. The compression takes place in the background.

Do you have 16:9 material? Then click the top left corner of the icon of the DVD. In the window at the bottom right now you must choose between 4:3 and 16:9. Another possible problem: The export from Compressor was wrong.

Yes. Among the disc settings, you need to set 16:9.

Hello Reinhold.
Stay cool. In Final Cut Pro (audio / video should pre-) setting sein.Die course true nature of the original material is not affected in Final Cut Pro by an incorrect configuration / default. The difference between 4:3 and 16:9 is the interpretation of the aspect ratio of each pixel, so if you choose for recording ( "capturing") and cut ( "Sequence") with different settings, the picture can not be displayed correctly. Was your display in Final Cut Pro is still okay, you have the Mpeg2 export with Compressor have made a mistake. Should you have deleted the project and may even have the "Capture Scratch" - deleted folder already, so this is one of the unforgettable lessons about safe workflow. If the project file, but still intact and all sources and still s.Ort place, then in a few minutes' clear the decks ". At most, the Mpeg2 file you'll need to re-create.
To find the error, I recommend reading all the passages in the manuals to "16:9" once more thoroughly.

Your two Programs are the real thing. But please do not expect to master it in a week. They are so easy to use, that you can master it in a month, if you have patience and stay tuned. For the above period, I recommend you two Books of the Galileo Verlag, just as the names of the Programs. They are more readable than the manuals and give tips from practice. More exciting than television, they are forever. Good luck.

Hello Reinhold.
Stay cool. In Final Cut Pro (audio / video should be pre-) setting of course, correct. I have not confused yet, but was synonymous schonmal in bright (and groundless) upset because my compressor - Preview indicating a bruised Picture what it does by default when 16:9 material, if not an easily overlooked box checks off right above the preview window.
Telephone remote diagnostics do not lead next, because what I know, I agree with so synonymous with, but it is limited to their own experiences. But so much here on the subject: The nature of the original material is not affected in Final Cut Pro by an incorrect configuration / default. Thanks Axel .. I'm a bit worried after so much not to come effortlessly bzu a result Thanks for the help .. What do you mean exactly with Preview s.welcher ask? In Final Cut Pro .. times .. I'm going to look way more fas not deleted .... apart from the myriad fuses ... the film works in FCP in the correct size .., Aspect ... have been replayed on tape the finished film and still a Quicktime movie from Final Cut Pro Project .. always the same result squashed! Thanks .. Join now looking to repeat ...

Well, clear cause, Quicktime just displays anamorphic material is compressed in to the wrong export settings. What does not work, the damned export. So you have 16:9 material, which is in Viewer and Canvas in Final Cut Pro presented correctly?
Then get busy and - YES! - The following:
Use File> Export> Quicktime Conversion> Format: Mpeg2; Options> Video system: PAL, Aspect ratio: 16:9; field sequence: Automatic - Quality: Coding: 1-pass; target bitrate 8.0 Mbps, motion estimation: Medium, 'OK, And the s.geht Lucy.

Under warranty then votes already times the IMAGE for DVD Studio Pro. In fact, I changed my post and even expanded to a small Buchtip. Are not cheap, but worth every penny!

Addendum: If you now still have huge human, your material is NOT 16:9!

That with the HDR1 I have previously read over. But you have been working in DV, is it? What hires Final Cut Pro with HDV, if it passes s.DVD studio, I do not know whether non-PAL synonymous, I have no experience and no idea how people get on the `ne DVD. In the event that, please use the search function or start a new thread.

No clue. Quicktime Mpeg2 encoder is part of Final Cut Pro software (not of the OSX version of Quicktime Player), an extra installation package. Not Installed? Even if you've done HDV (mpeg2 is already as far as I know), than would otherwise have the option not selectable (grayed be listed).
I sense that you better open a new thread, I can not seem to hit the mark.

Thanks bes s.Axel, Powermac and Co.. who have helped me a lot .. animal slaughter - runs Aufklärfilm ... had to work through this morning at 6 .. he runs like Of Powermac. proposed as a self-running DVD ... So car to have after 3 weeks .... sometimes severely (night) work .. the DVD finally done ... Mpeg2 is not the coder tätsächlich see below for output to Quicktime movie .. (although Final Cut Pro version 5.04)-so latest update ... However, the compressor encodes hats, and then had a slight burn to DVD-only studio with your help ... it has given me a lot of fun ... the next problem will probably to go fast s best HD format coding ... it wishes to retain in any case, not only in the pixellated Pal DVD ...

Here's a very remarkable sentence:
