Hello
I copied my old S-VHS combo Bändli with one (S-VHS + DVD recorder) to DVD-R. This has all worked fine on the TV and watch the movies in good quality via DVD recorder are.
Now I want to edit the film so copied by DVD disc with Pinnacle Studio Plus 10th But I can not import DVD movies into a PC. The Windows Explorer recognizes the DVDs at all. And Pinnacle Studio refuses to import. With Nero I can view the movies on the PC, however.
The DVDs do not seem to be closed. If this is the problem (as I would have to conclude for the DVDs? Nero 6 the procedure aborts each??) Or how do I get the digitized movies in my PC?

For me, your description sounds as if you had a DATA-DVD and create no VIDEO DVD.
If my assumption is correct, then the videos you can simply "Of Hand" to copy to the hard drive back.

Hardly! Because dubbing was done automatically with the TV-video-recorder (S-VHS and DVD). This recorder will certainly write a video DVD car. But either way: Windows does not recognize the DVDs even if I put them into the drive of your PC ????? Even the copying aborts immediately. Therefore, just my guess that the problem could lie with the "Complete" the DVD ...
The similar discussion in this forum "from DVD-VCR DVD-R in Windows PC capture?" almost describes the same problem. However, bring me the hints given there is absolutely no success ???????

The solution was extremely simple and obvious - but you have to get it: With the DVD recorder, I had to finalize the DVDs as well (deeply buried) in the menu navigation. This made the device does not auto ... Now I can easily disks in the PC capture ...

Yes even if you know what you are looking and reading these instructions. With my recorder with finalizing the way, was mentioned only in passing.
In addition, I was able to play the movie s.DVD on the PC, but the contents of the DVD does not look as in Windows Explorer ...
Solutions are always simple and logical in hindsight !?!?! I have previously but hundreds (!!!) websites ransacked in vain for a solution - just with the wrong keywords ...

As far as I know you can only konvetieren with Pinncale Studio DVD'S of tape!
DVD's will only cut themselves with other programs, with more argument!
AM Best to combine with an AVI to mpeg2 encoding is to capture them in the CD! That is, however, requires a different program, which will cost much more money back!
