Infoseite // Date of transmission of Canon MV 790 to DVD recorder via Mustek DV cable

Frage von stevie66:

Hi,

Now after I have the Canon and had called the hotline hotline Mustek, I want me here again reassurance that the transfer of the date shown on the DVD will not actually be possible.

So I have my camera via DV Cable s.den DVD recorder plugged. Unfortunately, the date on the DVD to be seen. The display of the camera, it can be seen (in 6 seconds mode).
According to Canon, it would be s.DVD recorder, if the date is not transmitted.
If I am the employee of the Canon Asführungen have understood correctly, that the date on another "saved track" and the DVD recorder, would have the DVCSD "system view" can!?

Then I got called yesterday at Mustek and who knew of nothing at all.
Possibly. it would help if I remove the film on the scart cable, or those 3 Jack dub !!!?!!!
Have I not tried, as the film loses then surely s.Qualität.
Good, if that would be the only way I would do it naturally.

Can anyone give a hint?
Since I my 2 jr son often short films, I lose track of real Datumsmässig.

My idea: I can even dub the movie on your PC and then cover with an editing program later date and then burn to DVD.
The problem is, that I have no DVD-Burners in the PC: o)
Might work anyway.

Then, even in the times ahead, many thanks for the answers !!!!!

Greetings!
Stevie

Hi Stevie,

the loss in quality when analog transmission is often judged entirely wrong. Look at this post:

- Start> from DVD camcorder to PC hard drive?

Question added to existing thread.

If you did not like my answer, why you write that then? - The same question a few days later to bring post is not necessarily completely new discoveries. ;-)

Hi Stevie

in the (mini) DV format, the date and time data on a separate track is aufgezweichnet. In DV-Avi, this paper trail, which, besides date and time synonymous timecode and setting parameters of the action has so far, will be imported into the editing program. I suspect that this paper trail, but when converted to MPEG2 (which is on the DVD recorder, the case is lost). That would probably make sense to keep the DV tapes, or alternatively in an editing program to insert the date by title, but often do not see very well, and brings out mans anymore. And frankly, disturbs me greatly, the date on film, rather then create a short show with songs, such as a video diary.
So the best thing in your case (I hope your Cam has DVin) movie to hard drive, insert date jeweills before each film segment (editing program), get cut back on new Cam (tape) and this is now on DVD via DV cable, so You certainly much effort, but perhaps in your case the best quality. I hope to answer your question a bit and do not be too confused to have.

Sorry, yes there were very few answers, I wanted to portray the issue again in a shorter version.
I thought too much text would have written and who has time to read such a novel.
Wanted to create a new topic, but the text s.falscher agency has landed.
But as you see, someone else has replied yet ..... : o))

So long,

Hi Dani,

Thanks for the great info.
The confusion, still holds within limits .... o))
If I want the date on the DVD, I have to take it or not but the slightly more expensive way to purchase and all the dubbing on the PC and then back again. Is anything safe for long winter evenings; o)

DVin, the camera. But, what input do I have to take s.PC. But he has no DVin, at least my model does not.

Hi Stevie

There are special cards for PC's to install, no software estimated from () 30 euros. Estimated with simple editing software from () 80 euros. If your PC runs on Windows XP, there should be no problems, but even when the PC is older (than 3 years), I would first check the performance. Current PCs have almost all DV and one output. Best if you inquire you there are commercially available, unfortunately, I do not know how ausswendig slots for the card are called. Is it safe somewhere a thread about minderstanforderungen for DV?

Gruss Dani

¬ 12 with ¬ Software p.25. ;-)

Since everything we read:
FireWire FAQ">Camcorder / recorder s.PC connect, capture and edit images

These are PCI slots.

@ Stevie: Have you tried the meantime, the easy way out and copy times the images on an analog cable to a DVD? Würde mich mal interested to know whether you can actually see a quality loss compared to the digital dubbing. ;-)

Hi Markus,

have unfortunately not yet had the time to do. Moment in time I'm in a bit of stress. I will definitely still try out. Perhaps, the date is indeed synonymous with dub then ..... who knows ....

Enter here to jedenfall info once I have tested it.

Hi,

should it interressieren someone else ...

I have now transferred once a movie via analog cable and lo and behold, the date is synonymous transferred. If I'd only tried once before .....

Well, a loss of quality, I could not find it on the fast synonymous. But surely there is one, if you look closely.

So, then,

nice day
