Infoseite // Daylight or artificial light in indoor photos

Frage von Ipiranga:

I'm playing straight with me the idea to purchase professional lighting. Now I know not whether I or daylight Kunstlichlampen growth should. I film mostly indoors and windows and if enough sunlight is synonymous like in daylight. Suppose I completely dark room from: Does it matter whether one with daylight or artificial light works? In what light does the human skin more beautiful?

Hello,
Still only digital image experience:
If you turn completely without daylight, it is no preference as to whether your lamps 3600 or 5400 Kelvin have. Per White balance determines whether it is neutral or slightly warm white look.

For nice skin tones, there are filter usof Lee.

If you have different types of light, it is important to:
Do you want the existing daylight vestärken: Daylight
Enhanced artificial light of existing sources: artificial

If you use outdoor lights often want to take it to filter daylight and indoors on artificial light. The light loss can be rather live with.

Because real daylight film light my knowledge satt expensive, halogen light and take a series of filter screens. Is inexpensive and flexible.

So much of photographers viewpoint. Or how to see the film?

Daylight lamps you can use universal. Critical interior shots are mixed with light. If any part of the picture cut daylight and artificial light and the other part is, the White Balance confused. If you want to brighten up existing daylight, daylight lamps are the best choice. You should see it then but not with artificial mix.

Hi,

If I have a room with the outside of next day should be obvious and the warm character of the interior incandescent light should be, I'd maybe the WA 500 K higher than the incandescent light and the windows with CTO 1 / 4-slide slightly warmer vote so that it of the outside is not as pure blue comes.

Automatic WA is expected to lead to wild fluctuations. So decide what you want.

Skin are the more visible, as the light is bluish. Conversely, when you see this red light actually little more.
So I would generally indoors with artificial light work and normal to synonymous fixed artificial setting of the camcorder used.
However, once synonymous daylight is in play, I always use the daylight setting of the camera, so that the heat of the artificial clearly through.
Manual white balance I use is no longer there so once synonymous max. two varieties of film, one for daylight, the other for artificial light.
The rest I do fine tuning in NLE, but actually it's more a matter of taste.

A Rotstich of the image is typically not as synonymous as disturbing as a bluish cast.

To view the color is actually not too much, but the color of light itself, if it almost exactly the color of reddish skin, then they are just not quite visible, even if at the time of recording a manual white balance, or the artificial setting of the fixed camera has been selected. However, synonymous lips pretty bright

Conversely, if one blue with very light skin and in turn, is filming a manual white balance makes the skin much more to see, although in both cases by the White Balance on the Picture an average gray medium was adjusted.

I would for indoor illumination (when no daylight comes inside) ONLY use artificial light. Domain has already said: skin tones are much more homogeneous and uniformly depicted as skin and facial blemishes (usually red) with 3200-3600 Kelvin (ie red light) seem less contoured and thus filtered out.
That is why I still synonymous LED head lights with a critical eye. They are unfiltered never as beautiful skin tones scan as halogen burner with 3200-3600 Kelvin.
Some camera operators make even a full manual in WA, its head light dimmer and then dim a little in order to reinforce this effect (with the Kelvin Abdimmung falling number). In persons with poor skin I practice so synonymous.

Good tip, in which case, the manual white balance to really make sense.
One should perhaps be specifically for consumer camcorders mention, namely the automatic white balance ever completely forgotten. It can not become a more effective disaster corrected on average lead.
Example: Setting out to sea with blue sky above. After the automatic white balance of Farbdominanten never on this scale out, he tries the blue herunterzuregeln until everything is rather gray. Followed by the swing on the deck of the ship with white and various other colors and now we have the Bescherung: everything has initially take a juicy yellow tinge, to halt the automatic re nachgeregelt has.
Beyond and, on average, usually not more times with satisfactory keyframegesteuerten color offset
