Frage von SemiLue:

Dear Forum members,

I want my desktop using my Digital Video Interface (DVI) stream over a network. Since the network already quite burdened, it is, I would like the stream on an encoder chip compress. To the recipients, I would like to re-encode and stream s.die DVI interface.

Has anyone here tips for me about the compression?

I know that I synonymous software could be achieved. But I want the whole s.liebsten realized in hardware, because I am not with the adaptation s.verschiedene operating software and drivers, or would like mucking around.

Network elements such as routers, etc. are available.

I ask you to help me.

Kind regards Sebastian

I'm not sure if your approach is a good idea. The Resolutions occurring via DVI you would need an HD-capable real-time encoder. The should not give the proverbial peanuts.
Look at the look here: Since it costs nothing, it should be worth the attempt ...

Thanks Quadruplex,

but unfortunately for me because the first problem. The OS is available on some versions of Windows is limited. Unfortunately, however, I would like of a computer to stream the operating system can be operated independently.

Without knowing it: Appropriate software should be synonymous for other operating systems - the basic technique should not differ too much. Google is your friend ...
And on the receiving end you are in any case, regardless - the web browser is sufficient.

I would in any case rather appropriate for the software of operating system you want rather than on hardware solutions ...

Again thank you,

but I can capture on a chip the DVI signal into a video stream and then convert on a more mundane MPEG encoder chip compress?

On the receiver side then the other way around, mutatis mutandis.

Do you know DVI capture cards, or chips?

Slowly losing the "Yours sincerely" its significance.

Therefore: MfG Sebastian

In principle, this is exactly what happens in 'nem HD camcorder happens. External Device I do not know - there must be someone else to help you. Gibt's safe for professional applications. Thus you have your MPEG-2 video but not yet packed into the network protocol ...

That is then only a small step. Say: That can be a friend for me.

Once again, thank you.
