Can someone tell me what the difference between the 5001 and the Manfrotto 501 HDV is? The HDV is more expensive, but apart from the price so it must have other differences?

Ok, as I see it, is essential in order to counterweight the system. The power with my HDR-HC1 (<1kg) ever make sense? Otherwise, I like the "old" 501er take. Or?

The Tripod kit still costs 400 EUR synonymous if it is a discontinued model. Mir is in the price range so far nothing better paths crossed.
