Difference between Adobe Premiere 6.0 LE and Adobe Premiere Elements 1.0

Hello,
Today I've got a firewire pci card of Sitecom purchased on the package it said "including Adobe Premiere 6.0 LE. When unpacking, I noticed that two CDs contained the version of Premiere Elements 1.0.
Can someone tell me what's the difference? If either the successor of the other? In short, it will become profitable exist out in the shop to get the 6.0er version? Or are both for the ton and it pays to buy a newer version (I want to rework a few holiday videos, set to music that is, a beginning and something Zusammenschneiden Show tracks)?
