we have a digicam with DV tapes and now want to order a longer feature turn-of course the sound quality with the built very poorly and microeconomic one sees at outdoor scenes little or no dialogue.

Without the camcorder model to know you here is nobody can tell whether / how to connect an additional microphone can be. Possibly. is synonymous needed an external audio recording, also with an additional audio recording device.
