I have a digital HDTV receiver of Smart I (; MX 04 HDCI) and a plasma of Panasonic (; VIERA).
My question is whether the picture is better when I plug in via HDMI or Component.

Have an HD cable box with the PANA plasma via HDMI connected, whether on Compo better quality, can not say (but say very brave just no). HDMI has the added advantage that extra audio stripping must be connected.

Aha, you just not when I connect the 3-core Componet-RCA cable, do I have to synonymous still a 2-conductor Audio - Connect the RCA cable ...

HDMI is only digital (coded) version of the component signals, but that just Metatdaten and sound are also in the multiplex.
The (picture) signal quality in HDMI is not better.
