Bless you!
For 3 years I cut out news stories with Final Cut Pro Studio on Mac.
Privately, however, I use a PC (Xeon 3.4 GHz, 1Gb RAM).
Now I want to cut at home a 45min documentary and seek an optimum, reasonably affordable solution, ideally with AppleScript.
The film was shot with a SonyEX1 in 720/50p, raw material about 20 hours.
For the film will be animated synonymous jpg Photos 3-D) (camera pans through photo landscapes.
I liebäugle Macbook Pro with the following:
 17 "
3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
 8 GB of memory
 500 GB hard drive
 ExpressCard/34 slot
 NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 512MB
What do you think of this MacBook for my Project?
Do you have any better suggestions?
I know the answer to a synonymous of Apple emulator for PC, where you can have with Apple-configured hard drive to run Final Cut s.PC. Has anyone of you experience this?
And still a question of understanding: The XDCAM raw data are all saved on PC hard disks. Are there problems with dubbing or preparing for Apple?
 Have a nice greeting,
 Christoph

A MBP is not bad, I did a documentary with much more material on a 17 "on average, was no problem and ran smoothly.
I would for HD material but just one or i5 take i7 with 27 "as the iMac, if indeed there may be a Mac.
Final Cut Pro for a Dokfilmprojekt is fully OK.
