hello everybody!
I want to start the Effect of a neon light in AE imitate and for displaying a title used. The font should blink and flicker, as used with a straight neon light, and only after a few seconds, a constant glow.
Besides my probably rather simple approach, just a tube as close abzufilmen and this material - processed - with the letter of the Titles to combine, I suspect a more professional solution in the AfterEffect'schen Expressions. Unfortunately, I have none of the latter idea. As far as I know, there are corresponding "commands" (?) To a random flicker to produce .... (random, ...)
I would be interested to know how you would tackle this issue!

Or you believe that I would be with the Expressions s.richtigen way?
How could such a finished script looks like? (or how difficult would have one?)
Could you me a little jump start, please?
I would have Tipüps and tricks really appreciate!

in the Textanimationspresets (s.AE 6.5) there is a folder called "Lights and Optical" or the Office Light Fluorescentlightpreset should be developed with something already fit?

These are just a few frames, which have not yet have full brightness. Thus it is distinctive for a start neon light stops, the sound effect of them.

Movies start time a neon light. Then you put this material in your text. The bodies on which no light is visible you cut out. Then you have then a few scenes cut from the neon tubes material. And everywhere, where now the bright neon light is changeable until you adjust the brightness of the text. After you delete the clip and finished bottom.

there is an effect of the AE you a glowing beam swords ala Jedi (Star Wars) is generated. With this effect you can probably copied by the neon light you eifach the color change to white. To flicker to siimmulieren you use the wiggle expression for the brightness of the neon lamp. The wiggle expression gives random values to these ..... exactly you can control with the aid of 2 Slide effects -> Expression Controller -> slider to control the wiggle effect.
the code for wiggle looks like this: wiggle (x, y);
