Infoseite // Encoding quality DVD recorder?

Frage von Hogar:

I want to get for simple backup of VHS tapes and a normal TV using a DVD recorder. Have I been synonymous for months without being seen on the net, but clearly there is really nothing out yet, do you have a DVD recorder likely.

I've been rausgefunden:
Probably provide the best picture quality Sony, Panasonic and JVC.
By SonyDVD recorders, I can not find any test reports, but I know the encoding quality should be quite good.

JVC will indeed have a very good picture quality, but the device that comes into question (JVC DR-MH20), have been criticized for many users, because it was broken for months and was in service. Even with my Saturn are only 2 devices that have been returned of customers. : (

Panasonic is even on LP recordings have very good image quality.

I still have many more such "Halbinfos. Actually, I want a DVD recorder which can be seen at 90 minutes per DVD is not a discernable difference in image quality. Are there any at all?

Is there a general statement, which the company makes a better Picture and Tonquali synonymous or synonymous as are the qualities of one device to another of a company's different?

What experiences did you like that? Maybe even someone lucky enough to have tested several DVD recorder ...

Hi Hogar,
I have the SonyRDR - GX 300th I use it in combination with a hard disc-satellite receiver. I've decided synonymous for him, because my DVD player, the hoof had been high and I wanted a new, reflecting the maximum number of file formats.

For quality:
I am very satisfied. I have to find out how big the differences between the respective quality modes (60, 90, is 120th ..), tested the first three (see brackets) s.einer "My Name is Nobody" sequence. To be honest, I did not recognize device nor s.TV from Sewing s.PC monitor great differences between 60 - and 90min mode, you can. Whether dark or bright, low contrast / or title of places borders. Very aktzeptabel. Incidentally have transferred via RGB. The 120s version was still very considerable, and more than useful.
Also (ok, that meets your home videos probably not), it is synonymous in a position to take over the 16:9 format.
Otherwise, the part is very easy to use, nice menu navigation, and honest, I still have no views in the manual ;-)

In contrast, synonymous, but I've already heard of DVD recorders that do not have these qualities but also to adapt really fixed according to the recording time the encoder (if, for example. A film, for example, 95 (93 goes) is minutes away you stop already something).

Good luck in the election,
Jens

Hello Hogar!

So when it comes to image quality, the Panasonic and JVC are your favorites!
Panasonic cuts here mostly from s.besten. Therefore, the P-devices are usually synonymous but not so many features on board.

Thank you!

I'll get me wahrscheinich the Panasonic DMR-EH52EG. Without firewire, but that's not so important. High quality and individual DVD's I will continue to create s.PC. Only the 48 hours of VHS material must be secured at some time, which simply takes too long with the PC. Alone already capture + encode, this is at least double the time that I have not got a buck ...

Exactly, time shift, but on DVD-RAM. I can always re-describe (so far) without failure. The cartridge version is also pretty stable and does not pollute the actual DVD or scratched with time. ;-)

The new device has arrived just an hour ago, but it must be because of possible condensation has yet to acclimatize.

My Panasonic DVD recorder (to want) is not a very good deal, despite the Macrovision but TBC.

But there are (were?) This "VCR friendly" DVD player. The play that too high a level of Macrovision's protection with not starting. If you are behind a DVD recorder attached to it, you've done nothing that would be especially necessary for circumventing a copy protection. That is, theoretically, that would be legal to copy that way.

But even if you an effects unit or something in between hanging, which smooths the blanking interval - who wants to verify that that was NOT done with a legal way ...

I just rediscovered this thread and now can say: Yes, that works. Mutual recorded playback of DVD-RAM is possible without restrictions. :-)

And some more news regarding the DMR-EH60EG-S:
