Frage von Dirk124:

Hello,

after capturing my DV video via FireWire to my calculator, the picture is right outside a vertical strip.
How can I fix it?

Thank you and greetings

isolate it as I would try ...

... try out a different times Calculator
... a different program to capture (we unfortunately do not know what you use)
... maybe use another cable

And above all, read it here again ...

Hello,

Thanks for the info.

Initially, I was able to capture garnich.
Then I patch for Windows XP and have installed it went.
The problem with the strip is, however, occurred in all programs.:

Windows Movie Maker, Virtual Dub, CyberLink PowerDirector Express and NeroVision Express.

Or is the fact that the camera records more lines?

DV http://www.slashcam.de/info/schwarze-Streifen-bei- ---- 768 - 720 - 352-Aaaargh - 15237. Html

Synonymous but that does not help me. Yes, I would like to mix the clips from different cameras. And if there are many a black strip, then nervt das

What can you do?

Thanks and greetings

This phenomenon is completely normal and is noticeable s.Television by the overscan is not next. If this still bothers you, you could be on the film s.end then add a mask to clip the edge in general, so synonymous s.Computer no differences are seen between the camera images.

And how can I hang up as a mask?

Thanks and greetings

I do not know with what programs you are still working beyond those already listed, but with Photoshop and Premiere, I would solve it like this: Save a single frame (with black border) from Premiere to import into Photoshop to delete, image content up on the black border (so that the deleted area is transparent), as a PSD file, save, import it into Premiere and put one video track above the film. Everything else makes premiere auto (Picture with alpha channel transparency to interpret, so that in the transparent surface, the video image appears and the edge will cover).

That sounds complicated ....

But still a question of understanding: The format for Pal is still 576 x 720

Now, if a DV-camera gives me a Picture Capture with no black border, then it delivers 576 x 720 The other to the right produces a black border. The picture is nevertheless after capturing 576 x 720 Ie, after the camera but provides a smaller cut than 576 x 720, for example, only 576 x 700th

Or do I make a fallacy?

Thanks and greetings

Hello Dirk,

Some camcorders (particularly older ones) do not use the entire image area, but leave a thin black margin. This is perfectly normal. On Television, or if one is only processed video scenes of this one, the camcorder so synonymous not on next.

Alternatively, you could to mask the Picture at the output according to circumcise. But please only circumcised, ie reduce the visible Picture. The overall size should remain at 720 × 576 and the picture may be scaled while not synonymous! Otherwise, there are visible loss of quality.

PS: If you normally landscape paintings called the larger value first, ie 720 × 576th ;-)
