I have an external hard drive with 200 GB of important data, of course sau. And I'll put it recently, as always, everything is detected, just now, the directories are all empty!
argh!
now what?
does anybody know next?

Hello,
I once type, you have the plate removed from the USB port without disabling them first, then (can not happen to be) something. You should remove both USB sticks as synonymous plates before removing always safe on the icon "hardware" to disable the taskbar, or loss of data or it can threaten the controller may be damaged. If you're lucky, you can restore the data with one data recovery program again.

no, that was certainly not the abyss.
However, I could save the data as follows:
I expanded the hdd from the external casing and connect it s.einen IDE space and was able to save my data.
