Infoseite // FCE 3.5 native HDV caput

Frage von SixFo64:

Hi together,
like to see in the subject, I have only a short and simple question: Is it possible in FCE 3.5 native HDV capturing or does it only with Final Cut Pro? Before I use the money for this output (to me this version of Soundtrack pick) and only afterwards in the Intermediate codec of Apple's cut, then let I prefer. Or you can natively cut, depending on the Mac (NEN've quad-core mac pro)?

CU,

The HD in the name of FCE HD 3.5 already suggests a strong HD capability ...

Yes, FCE 3.5 can natively HDV capture and you can then rumschneiden is synonymous. (Apple ProRes is really only in Final Cut Studio 2).

What in the article, in any case is not true is that all older software synonymous problems on Intel Macs running (Rosetta). This is true even for Photoshop, but not for the video programs. To be clear: Old Final Cut Pro or FCE - History will not be running (if anyone plays with the idea because of the cheap used price).

Although HDV and HD of course not necessarily be equated.

I do not have FCE here, but after everything I've read about, can really only Final Cut Pro HDV natively cut. FCE - incidentally still synonymous in version 4 - converts the material into AIC (Apple Intermediate Codec) to. ProRes has nothing to do.

Nobody uses the same HD and HDV. HDV is a video format, which records in HD. So you worked in FCE synonymous and HD video in the HDV format.

This is completely true, but with my - apparently something very simple - I had to mean something else: The mere fact that a program "HD" in the name does not mean that it will cope with HDV (which cstuder implied).
Final Cut Pro HD (4.5), for example, could handle DVCPro HD, but of course still no HDV. FCE HD 3.5, on the other hand can handle HDV, but my knowledge is not natively without AIC, which is the original question was. Now, you are sure all clarities removed ;-)
