It is based on Final Cut Express version 4.0 on an Intel Mac Book with Mac OS X 10.4.11. It is connected via a USB SonySR7.
FCE is the config with "Apple Intermediate Codec" started, as it is in the manual for AVCHD import is described.
In FCE, the logging tool and open it will give me the files to the AVCHD Camera synonymous gelistet if synonymous with faulty Thumbnail. I can all the files in the list in the preview error-free play.
If I now try to play with the "Choice diary", or "clip diary," one of the AVCHD files to import crashes me every time from FCE. Most just before the end of the import, but sometimes even immediately after executing the function. That is 100 percent reproducible. I am so far not succeeded, synonymous only a single AVCHD file in FCE to import.
Did anyone suspect what the cause of the crashes could be?

Can not help you otherwise. Tiger, AVCHD and FCE are all things that I do not have.

Yes, perian is installed. I will say with the uninstallation attempt, although not a permanent solution would be. Thank you in advance for the tip.

Perian is definitely the problem, it is important that every file in the library will be deleted.
