I want to play and create a movie later on this film a DVD menu. As what I should play the movie?
AvI? Mpeg2?, Or Quicktime. What format achieves the best possible quality.

Which format has the movie now? And what encoder and what authoring program do you have available? And where do you want to play the movie?

So I cut the film with AVID. Encoder are as far as I know, AVI, Mpeg2 / 1, Qicktime Reference, Mpeg4, Quicktime Movie. The DVD menu is created with Adobe Encore. The film will run on DVD, movie length is about 7 min

: mpeg2 video files at 720x576 resolution
: sound files 48000khz
Video quality is determined by bitrate - in the practice about 4000 to 8000 kbps.
