Infoseite // Final Cut Pro HDV breaks from Aufnhamen

Frage von Bluspiceman:

Hello,

capture the final cut back always breaks off the recording of HDV files.
2 fault will occur:
Either errors in the incoming data or timecode break.

Timecode interruption is clear, since I forgot to turn on s.and too well after the Camera button to return, but the first error is a mystery to me Allg.

For SD recording, and I can do what I want - that runs through continuous capturing.
With HDV, I now always at least 18 individual clips.
Clips rebuild after image change etc in the settings I have disabled all - at least I think.

My parameters:

MacBook Pro 5.1
2x2, 4ghz
4gb Ram
Camera (Sonyz1) connected via Firewire s.Mac.
Final Cut Studio 3

Has anyone a solution or an idea?

I'm grateful for every suggestion

The vielgescholtene proprietary Apple HDV codec, I'm glad that it exists. You understand wrong. It is good that the start / stop detection can not disable it (HDV), all so gecaptureten clips have clean timecode and are Quicktime files with closed Gops. This prevents asynchronicities. The alternative you you must look at you like in Premiere, and the corresponding trouble thread.

With a very fast calculator you can supposedly capture as ProRes in real time, otherwise you will remain the AIC, if you really want to capture without a start / stop. With HDV, you need to "New clip on timecode break enable".

You will still get error messages that need to connect, heads or tapes are investigated.

Until Final Cut Pro 5 (in universal binary, that is for PPC Macs), HDV was not natively supported, but gecapturet car in the Apple Intermediate Codec. iMovie and FCE do it still, and can be synonymous AVCHD in Final Cut Pro does not yet natively handle. The AIC of course there's always an option in the recording settings. It is an intraframe compressed codec like DV, the very little processor, graphics card and Ram claimed. As you can capture full DV tapes s.Stück, provided you have enough space, because the data rate for HDV 1440 amounts to 60 Mbps (25 Mbps for native HDV, the same as for DV). The file size grows in proportion to data rate, see here. An improved intermediate is ProRes422 "(100 Mbit / s for HDV, even more, if you of the Apple recommended for HD" HQ "is used). That is also the case that it is easy to apply and offers plenty of real-time. In addition, it maintains its high quality synonymous after several processing steps correction - especially color! - For, if only of HDV artifacts are left.

Possible workflow: capturing as HDV, sorting out the clips that you want to recycle, appointed in the browser (and renamed - by right - in the capture folder). The "good" footage clips on a dock-droplet (you will have a Compressor droplet to "Programs" will be moved) move called ProRes ", done.
