Infoseite // Finalizing a DVD-R

Frage von arrakis303:

SlashCAM Hello friends,

I want to buy the Hitachi DX3100E me soon.

One question I have:
The DVD-R must indeed be finalized. This goes in the above camcorder solely in the power grid operation. Can I burn eg on holiday a couple of DVD-R and finalize NOT finalize and then at home after all filmed DVDs? or must be before you finalize the disc from the camera it takes?

Thank you for an answer.

one will always be synonymous finalize at a later date. It is actually synonymous only the final "letter" a "Inhaltsverzeichniches" the DVD. Thus, can then be added to anything.

But why did you buy a DVD camera? Pretty much everyone here in the forum will advise you about it! My included.

Hi steveb,

Thanks for answering my question. With regard to DV or DVD, I have read the forum entries. My opinion / impression:

Quality:
In the various newspapers of the camcorder quality difference between DVD and DV in the price range is displayed 400 to 600 euros as barely exists. The freaks here from the forum will see it appear different. Who is right? I have the impression the freaks just want to stop to significantly better quality than the standard beginner. Is indeed synonymous quite a difference whether one looks at the film on nen normal TV or home theater.

price:
The camera is expensive. That's just a mini-DV recorder there.
The blanks are more expensive. However, if you max. two per month is a film that is still acceptable. For that I'm interested in the blank
I can play almost anywhere.

Postprocessing:
I have created in recent days, several great DVDs with Magix Deluxe 2006/2007. Starting material were recorded DVDs. I have imported the VOB files. But I have also worked synonymous of TV mpeg2 files. That much time on it is gone. The result is indeed great) (with marvelous DVD menu and Beschriftgungen in the film. But I needed a lot of time synonymous.
And has) the conversion of a large DVD (Packed two to three hours to complete. I have a 2.5 GHz Calculator with 512MB of RAM.
I assume that the post with DV material is not fast. And if I want to have the DV data to DVD conversion is the most synonymous like a long time. And when I replay the material to DV so synonymous takes time.
I like working with the PC. However, I have no desire to spend 60 minutes of film per month for four or five hours with it. In addition, the process would be faster with DV??

Durability:
ok for me a great argument for DV. My films are for our daughter. But looks only at about 10 years later. So I'm the top film on hard drive and can make DVD backups. However, I will be in 5 or 10 years of data have very different possibilities (bold DVDs or other media, as well as the hard disks are getting bigger and cheaper).

Dear Michael,

as you can see, you made quite a bit busy with the matter :-)

However, you had advised anzusschauen again the posts here in the forum, where it was exactly the question of what a recording medium is the right one.

A big disadvantage of DVD cameras, and the cumbersome / s.Calculator to disastrous handling of post-processing.

Since the recommendations and the findings synonymous better remain with mini-DV, which are expressed not only of freaks, you should encourage it again.

I myself am übrigends synonymous only a "user" and not a professional. We all eventually stood in front of the Decision are identical. I finally decided in the class up to 600 euro for a Panasonic 280,
because it provides the best picture!

I'm sure there will be some other forum members express.

My tip: Read you again in the section beginners questions and use the forum search.

This perhaps food for thought:

Scription of more expensive depending on a camcorder and is the more he depends s.Prosumer (professional consumer), the less you will encounter any DVD, HDD or memory card camcorder. Whatever reason that may have be? ;-)
