Firewire Male (, 4-pol.) Does not fit into the camcorder

Hi All,
synonymous since a few days I have a SONY DCR-HC17E Handycam and I ordered a Fire cable separately. I'm rather by accident in this forum (: as you can see I am "still" hosting) and now hope for a competent answer, because I am with Firewire not as well versed.
When I wanted to try out the Firewire cable today, I noticed that the firewire times does not fit into the socket of the camcorder. On the PC Page Everything fits wonderfully. Shape, size and polarity on camcorder-page should be voting for (; had prior to the purchase nor the Manual) konsutiert. The times seem utterly of the size (not fit, do not understand why?). According to the description is (a 6/4-Pol Firewire cable, 6 to 4 pin?). If so far I have followed here is yes, at least fit "synonymous in the socket, right?
Even a cautious reinstupsen with something more "pressure" has not worked. I then quickly abandoned, however, synonymous to not move the camera still suffers the consequences ...
I would be grateful for any tip! I hope the hinbekomme in the coming days, because we still a movie from a camcorder to DVD to 17 need for a birthday ...

Hello again,
I have now manage it. The cable is now fit. The time passes (and just simply sehrviel Stiff in the corresponding socket, as it is of Firewire is used to ...).
Is it "normal" that the time is not so easily goes in or is the quality s.der a firewire cable? Make something I'm already at my camcorder and the built-in jack ... After all do not want to pull out with the jack, remove the cable when:)

I was always synonymous with my firewire card 4-/6-polige cable there. This is not synonymous, however, fit well (in the DV jack of the camcorder, too stiff) and the compound had no contact synonymous.
I bought a couple of higher-quality cable, therefore, usein SonyiLink original cable for around 30 ¬. A detailed test of the Sony cable, however, is still pending. The other cable (; one of them was in a high-quality, external Firewire enclosure and this one in my video card), however, work perfectly. ;-)
