Firewire port s.AD converters - Technical question about usability
Frage von thos-berlin: März 2010
A Hello to the round.
Most of the AD converter has two Firewire connections, a s.der front, a rear s.der (eg Canopus ADVC 110, Datavideo DAC 100).
Are the connections easy parallelgescahltet physically, or are independent and can use to einzuspielen as an analog input signal to two devices with Firewire durchzuschleifen simultaneously or a digital signal and an analog output signal while "siphon off" (which is a simple "Parallelschltung" from not expected to go protocol reasons)?
Canopus says it depends, among other things, of Firewire from the map. Many cards already have a problem if you s.den ADVC-110 connects via firewire a camera, even though the Firewire signal only is looped. ;-)

I fear that these fragments do not help, because they are well designed for two slaves s.einem PC and not a slave s.zwei PCs.
From AD to PC would be walking or easy, easy splitting. But what will really make the splitter, if of two PCs will be delivered the information? .....
Antwort von Alf_300:
If you have a Canopus per PC, this should really work out
Antwort von thos-berlin:
Sure, I will distribute the analog signal on two A / D converter. Would certainly be synonymous not a problem. A used AD converter does not cost (much) more than the (arguably inappropriate SOWISO) splitter.

Something like Habs just so connected: Firewire -> Canopus 110 in Canopus110 Firew Out and Analog Out additionally s.Pinnacle DC1000 Instead of Pinacle synonymous should go a Canopus
Analog IN and OUT 2x Firewire does not go in any case
