I have now got me to buy panasonic camcorder nv gs 21 and wanted me to dub movies on pc, so I can edit it, but I did not know which one because you can be sure firewire usb can use with this camcorder (unfortunately for images). And so at least I now have ujmsteigen on firewire, but my motherboard (MSI K8N Neo 2) does not have firewire. Does this then if you buy a firewire card and then the cable connects?
please help me with my problem.

A Firewire card for the PCI slot should work on any motherboard. Watch out for OHCI compatibility of the map to the Windows drivers to make use of their own.
