Infoseite // Firmware Update for HF100

Frage von Gundolf:

Moin,

on this Page
http://web.canon.jp/imaging/dcp/firm-e/hf10/frm/download.html?Submit=To + the + download + page +
You can enter the serial number of the latest firmware download.
My question: If I change the serial number of a U.S. unit would enter, and the firmware on my (German) HF100 would update, I would have then 24p/30p?

No, the available modes depend on the camera model. There is probably another area in the flash memory of the camera, when an update will remain unaffected. See synonymous http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/HF10/100_Firmware_Analysis

Hello, I have the HF100 will receive a gift at Christmas and the seller said to my father that there is probably a firmware update that would be synonymous with the HF100 in the highest bit rate to 24 Mbps high could screw (same chipset as well as the newer Canons) .

Know something about someone?

I have only the following information about the firmware found:

http://web.canon.jp/imaging/dcp/firm-e/hf10/index.html
http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/HF10/100_Firmware_Analysis

Bin mal gespannt answers to, even slightly better quality would not be so wrong.

Greetings!

No, this is not currently and it will probably never go synonymous: There was just a rumor that someone has scattered, which meant that one of the Canon itself had claimed. That sounds to me but rather a hoax.

There is, however, so that between 17 and 24Mbit / s no visual difference. I can test a few files online.

Hello deti,

Thanks for the info. Okay, if you say, there is virtually no visual difference between 17 and 24 MBit is okay for me. I think if anything, would be the only difference eh fast pans or fast moving objects become visible, right?

If it is not so much work for you, it would be nice if you 1-2 samples in the network might drop - then I could synonymous times to test whether the videos with 24 MBit still on my iMac 24 "(first generation with 2.16 GHz ) operate properly.

Thx in advance & schöne Grüße
