Flug durch Kameralinse/Türspion mit Wölbung??

Flights by Camera Lens Distortion with peephole?

Frage von Gummiente:
Mai 2006

Hi all, I want to make a flight through a peephole or any other lens (camera lens, etc.).

I have in principle footage material "before the lens" and "behind the lens. in fact it is now just around the transition btwn the two videos, I want to fly in the video material "before the lens" on the lens, then through the lens out again, and finally by and just watch the video material "behind the lens.

I have already tried in a 3D program (3dsmax), but did not get a satisfactory results! with AE should be but not really a problem ... with the effect "vault", I can somewhat simulate the flight through the lens by simply the height parameter of 2.0 (in front of the camera lens) through 0 (in the exact center of the camera lens) to see again to -2.0 ( end of the lens) and then again 0 (outside of the lens) aninmiere, the result is not yet as I imagine it ... it should be possible, even as in real nem film look like (this effect where the camera flies through the peephole, we see still quite often ...)

Many thanks for any tips

Hi,
The Wölbeneffekt But you can only use if you are outside of, before the door to the room willst.Da fly the bulge is not invertible, I would take flight from the area in the optical compensation, it can be reversed as desired.

Hello Gummente!

I do think it would be s.leichtesten with 3DMax, especially since you're already advanced so far. I've done once a telescopic sight of a PSG-1. As a lens material, I used a glass with Fresneleffekt, placed in front and behind the lens and the video could look through it - and go back. To what extent was your expected result?

For AFX, unfortunately, I can give you a prediction.

The simplest would probably be matchcut, if the flight is not fast enough and youthful the next, and I think you've solved the problem as you come through the Lens!

Antwort von Schleichmichel:

What is already here, but you can still Matchcut with the smooth a small Morph.

Certainly. But this is a problem-80s. Through the cut each becomes clear what is meant synonymous without seeing it. Today it is often not a narrative function, but with the showing of a stunning effect. In this case, an impossible camera movement. The logic is sidelined.

Even a truly great director like David Fincher has already stumbled on this bag of tricks. The Panic Room is about claustrophobia, namely, if one is completely surrounded and isolated. Due to the constant, intrusive connect the sites through ventilation pipes, keyholes, etc. This feeling is largely mitigated. Otherwise a great film in every respect.

Rubber duck solution sounds perfect. You can of course never look really realistic, because you just can not fly through a spy glass. In the latest five years, it will laugh at these senseless tricks.

There are great impossible camera moves. The following tracking shot (in black and white 70mm and 6-channel) from Andrei Rubljov (1969) is one of them: On a warm summer day a woodcutter from resting on the fresh stump in front of him splashing brook, birds are singing, the saw blade, in addition to his rejects nor vibrates and makes the quieter winggg wanggg. Is now approaching from the background noise, yelling, horses. The noise is fast approaching. When the lumberjack turns, slashes him riding past on a tartare with his sword throat. The camera rushes to the bloodstream and followed with a single incredible peace Blutsrinnsal (macro) on his way down through the man's body (while the Tartars away acoustically again), through the grass and into the stream. Underwater (silent) to lose the black blood sonnenlichtgefleckten below the water surface. The camera reappears and you can see s.Horizont dust clouds. The birds are singing next, the saw makes "winggg wanggg.

There is no doubt that such an attitude is gimmicky. But man, it takes your breath away! What one of journeys through keyholes can not truthfully say.
