Hi,
I am just old analog Hi8 tapes on
Firewire on the PC on. I wish the so-digitized
Videos back to the tapes recall the image (as the first backup). To grab I've used MovieXone 4.0. In this version
can recall the data are not, which should only be possible in 4.5 but it no longer exists. Then I have been called Pinnacle Studio. But since I only drive Win2000 comes to me only 8 or 9 in question. However, these have received scathing criticism in several reviews. The avi-s of a tape 20GByte are great. The editing software would have to be so stable that quantity to be processed. Who knows a S / W running under Win2K and the hinkriegt reliable?

Is perhaps the bottom line is easier than to mess around with ancient editing software. A 20 GB AVI to DV tapes replaying actually makes any editing program that you can buy today. Pinnacle Studio 8, I had synonymous times, so I had no problems in this regard. It crashed while occasionally cut off at times but the capture and the replay actually not.
