Hey,
I did last week, a used SonyHDR-FX7 bought, after a few test shots, a lot of me on the recorded video, with enough frames to be rendered.
First, I have 63 Sony HDV tapes used, then Test is first with an SonyExcellence tape in between, I have 2x a SonyDVM-12CLD cleaning cartridge is used.
Captured, is with a MacBook Pro, 2.4 GHz, 4gb, DDR3 Ram, and Gefroce 9400gt graphics card, the missing frames, but make synonymous visible on the television.
Has anyone the same problem?

What is to say, enough frames? A dropout in HDV usually lasts longer than a frame, but rather half a second.
A basic rule for the use of tapes is: Never use Sony tapes for Sony cameras, always different, especially of Panasonic or Fuji. Listen not to the now safe following protests.

It seems to me that instead of 25fps only about half of recorded / played back.
I myself would not clean my drive, then the camera, I would prefer one chicken, but I will tomorrow time a Panasonic cassette buy, but I do not have much hope that it will be better.

I would never be error-free shots with my SonyCams can produce! I always had the simple use Sony Premium tapes!
