Hello!
I have a Digital8 camcorder of Sony (DCR-TRV270E) and so the following problem:
I want the recorded video to play on my PC, the data on the recording date / time and will be given to the videos are eingebelendet. So I want the video to the PC, as I understand it in the Camera Viewfinder see when you play, with additional information displayed.
Problem:
- When I watch the videos via the iLink cable to transfer, do I get the video only, no date / time flashes over. This is probably due to the fact that via the iLink Digital8 trace data is ignored. I did it with the included Sony software and Microsoft Movie Maker tested.
- My camcorder displays additional information about the happiness in the composite video signal, the one with the pictures on a television monitor. So I have a USB-mal framegrabber (the archiving of video cassettes will be offered) to the composite signal from the camcorder again digitizer. That has not worked, the picture quality was shockingly bad, we must synonymous suddenly a lot about the image resolutions, refresh rate and file know.
So I have two questions:
- Can you somehow on iLink or with special software that Digital8 data track on the video set?
Or: What should I do / buy to the composite signal in my camcorder in high quality on the PC Digitizer?
In Sonykonnte you can not help me ... :-(
(Background: I am doing a research on the behavior of wild dogs and wolves and has approximately 200-Digital8 tapes to bring the PC in order to be able to work.)

The via Firewire / iLink transferred data include all information about date and time of recording. Just not visible in the picture.
The tool scenalyzer you captured your video of the Camera and submit it sorted by date stamp from:

Using your editing software you can now manually date and time displayed. Or a plugin with the date and time data can be displayed auto. Search here in the forum or Google for "date stamp".
