Hello, I would like to know me, if there is a qualitative difference between Fujinon and Canon lenses are.
On my DV5000 GY currently have the Fujinon S14. I would like to replace it, but against the Fujinon S17. Does anyone know whether the S17 with a roughly comparable (but much more expensive) Canon of 18er?

Hello,
na is again a question of money, of course, you can expect favorable included 14x Fujinon Optics not too much. Unfortunately, when you get cheap Fujinon lens (Also a point of criticism s.der new HDV JVC HD 100 / 101) no Apochromat lenses, chromatic aberration and fringing (especially in the more open aperture to make a bad impression) bring on's Picture.
Even the Canon XL 2, that is one class lower is delivered with a 20x Fluorite Lens Canon synonymous to include the above-mentioned problems has little.
I have heard only from the Canon 19x YH 19x6.7 KRS much better than than the 14x Fujinon Lens for the GY DV 5000th
Well maybe write a good owner of the shoulder of the other camera Lenses has been used.

Schonmal Thanks for the reply. I'm assuming that the YH18x6.7 is the predecessor of the 19er and therefore qualitatively much the same.
As with the S17 of the Fujinon is I just did not know.
But it seems synonymous in other forums to be quite difficult to get info about 1 / 2 "Lenses on.
