I have a new GH2 and the video files would like to convert to ProRes or AIC. Compressor takes the GH2 files (not, I just updated all FCS applications).
I want to cut in Premiere (; Premiere can AVCHD but I think ProRes would be faster).
I have read FCS could convert files GH2 but I manage not synonymous.

Although you can read about it anywhere on the net, but I like to repeat it here again for you:
Compressor can not do that. The function is built into Final Cut Pro and is called the Log and Transfer "(English" Log and Transfer "). Caution is advised for individuals. Mts clips can not be transferred without proper AVCHD data structures, so always import the entire top level AVCHD folder ("PRIVATE") of the memory card.

I am trying with all means in my spare time, get to know. In this case, I searched the net for hours and rumprobiert before I wrote to the forum - I've got it simply not attempt it. By the way, if you ever need any super high quality, you can put in the settings (small wheel in the middle above) of the Log and Transfer window, select the format of ProRes to Apple Intermediate Codec "switch. This saves a lot s.Space, but has a lower bit rate.

There are several versions for different requirements: http://www.apple.com/de/finalcutstudio/finalcutpro/apple-prores.html

Even if perhaps a bit harsh

two professional editing software, anyone can determine if the simplest things he has no idea of. Since it would have done better than synonymous first iMovie ... But to each his own.
