Germany's cinemas are struggling to survive ... of blip - 25 Nov 2005 23:25:00
.. so we read in a recent Spiegel article. That's obviously not anything new, but this time it's not about illegal copies of films that are exchanged over the Internet, but the industry itself, and mainly because, at the multiplexes. The principal is attributed to the bad Hollywood shoot, the dog no longer elicit behind the stove, and probably always be synonymous previous DVD appearances are a reason to take so much less people on the way into the movies themselves. But, and this is new, are now synonymous self-critical tone heard: too many multiplex cinemas were built, and too lacking in style, they are synonymous. So now relies on Cinemaxx chandeliers and parquet ... Interesting reading.

Well, if I ask myself that there is hardly any movies in which (the presenter rather a student) is the sharpness and the room attendant synonymous (a student?) Can adjust the volume, at least the technical quality is no more reason to Movies to go. For admission prices s.7 Euro upwards (plus popcorn and cola are the two people just over 25 euros) is a DVD for 3 euro certainly an alternative, even if one expects the DVD player to buy it. Scan from guards, the infrared cameras with the public good 30 minutes before the movie and advertising a variety of pirates spots (incl the GEZ: You have) not been paid, we certainly do not want to talk here. So I'm not surprised the slack really, and if I do not think that will help Chandelier ...

Yes. This slump probably surprise no one. Where we all already have a so-called Home Movies (or at least know someone who has one such). However, I think the atmosphere in the movie is still interject something else than at home 'ne DVD. An experience just that one shares with many (foreign) people. We laugh, yes, and we schluchtzt together. And then you make out on the road or go home again turns into a cozy bar and philosophize about the film seen.
Hach, wie schön.

Movies is a trade show for feature films. If they are not shown in the movies first, how should they be known?
Television has always put much more on the good, middle-class (now synonymous simple stupid) than on ordinary stories that get under your skin so naturally and are often a bit dark. In the movies we experience collectively, very private dreams and nightmares, on television, we are programmed by the common sense of the collective madness pulls us downward. I hope the movies, in any form synonymous always survived.

Well, here in Switzerland I've never seen anyone with the infrared camera in a cinema and synonymous, I know the pirates only spots of the DVDs (which to me as an honest buyer rather on his nerves go ...).

The films are subtitled in the larger cities here, has generally only in the original and. Synchro versions are more likely found in smaller cinemas. I once heard that it is rather the reverse in Germany and there have been people who have gone pretty well for Lord of the Rings in the original. ;-) Even in Switzerland it is more independent films is not white (as in Germany there looks like).

Synonymous, and in Switzerland the number of visitors is declining. So I think the reasons are simply the bad Hollywood movies. The big mainstream Pops this season not to bring the hoped-for money because the public does not want to see.
So all hopes uneasily at Harry Potter, Narnia and King Kong.

Actually, this would mean that once again get a chance for European production increased attention. I wonder, for example, where the great German movie is actually abgeblieben when I think there s.The Nibelungen, Metropolis, Nosferatu and The Golem. Hey, Germany was in the film business views represented real fat!

Hi there,

And it still exists ... .... the good German movies and I think it will be more and more (eg, Beyond Silence, Weisse Massai, Bella Martha, etc. .......)
However, I note surprised: why, when I was sitting in the movies, the room just half empty / full!?

Pity that!

For ticket prices these days and the associated costs (popcorn, cola ....) is really difficult for many to afford time for movies. For those who are with the car, sometimes topped up in the inner cities, yet exorbitant parking fees. Since then it has relaxed to two times for a movie just for 30-35 ¬ (I am from Berlin). Moreover, the films that are out usually after two weeks have already disappeared from the cinemas, that I did not get around to going to the movies, because I have no time for that. And ultimately the overall economic situation plays a role synonymous. In the horrendous unemployment, many must stop scrimp.
I do not think that "Titanic" would be today nor the Pops, as he then was, where he ran for weeks in the movies .... The film would have still synonymous retrospectively, probably two weeks out of the cinema ...

I forgot to point out the Hollywood s.der debt crisis itself is: Why does an actor get 30 or 40 million U.S. dollars Gage? When Titanic was made for $ 130 million since it was called "the most expensive movie ever made." Today is barely even a production with $ 100 million. How can this happen??

Home Entertainment I do not see as a killer of the cinema, but as a response to theaters that no longer meet the needs of this (the device purchased) people.

Landed until the last commercial break on the big screen, I've already forgotten what movie I wanted to see.

Since smoking in cinemas and we can drink, I always sit when I rouse myself yet, in spite of permanent passage in mist as if I had booked a laser instead of flicks. The feet in beer and laugh s.Gesäß sticky, of which I know would not know what it was.

Of course, I'm going synonymous because of the sounds into movies, but this car is so not better, just because he is getting louder. And is in advertising: I'll start my old days with not smoking, just because the Mallborogh-Man - because I notice I do not even know how to write ;-) - his match by 3 dB louder lighting .

If you want to sell movies with a holistic experience, one would use entirely different staff, which would have to pay probably synonymous accordingly. So I quite often encounter these loo-checkout-Combined Trutschen in apron. - Where sanitary facilities are really just another point would be their worth.

And in the shooting, I have become increasingly difficult to understand, why the grandmother in the film almost looks younger than her granddaughter plays. In addition, the botox-generation lacks the mimes usually quite decisive: facial expressions!

In short, what makes movies for me, I experience more on Festivals and especially among just such open-air events. In the commercial Kion has often explained, because - it has already been mentioned - the terms are usually much too short. Until I gfunden the time, and I shoveled a night, the film is long of snow yesterday.

By the way: My Home Entertainment has 55cm diagonal or several meters of shelf space "Printed & Bound". And if I open a Book, I can usually enjoy the contents before the filming, so I am in the recycling chain at the front and must not leave me permanently as a potential thief scolded intellectual property.

So, in conclusion a word of praise to the Forum: What I like here that the forum clearly shows that the video may well inspire people in a creative manner, and without that their rights are violated others. At least hold here the relevant questions and contributions of hunters and collectors group is very limited, I think.

Well, I'm 55 and am happy as long gone to the movies until the industry s.mir apparently had no interest.

Films for the young mass audience does not interest me, the annoying Big-Mac/Popcorn-Ambiente and interesting films are shown in the inner city, where I come only after a long journey.
The multiplexes have good technical conditions, but if even the "emergency exit" signs light up so bright that the Picture kontrastmäßig one lousy LCD screen is like, what can I say? And the Prices? Since I'd rather wait a bit and I see the movie together with friends on a 50 "plasma with surround system to the same high caliber of price ...
