I have a finished cut HDV video and want it on a DVD (in fact, carry, of course not in HDV). For cutting I used the Pinnacle Studio Pros, but the authoring module does what it wants rather than what it is ...
What will it be:
- Animated Menu in 16:9
- Chapter
- Subtitles
You once told me there would be an open source tool, is only the name escapes me: (

But a question still remains: do I have to first create the subtitle (eg, as. Srt) or can / should I do that in the program?

Since I am stumped. I have so far only DVB subtitle of images (acquired teletext subtitles), but never himself inscribed.

I did stop the problem that (German in the movie) we will speak french (guides and locals) and English (an Australian participant). Similarly, there are unfortunately some (wind-zBsMont Blanc ridge) unintelligible text.
I would also like to add 6 subtitle tracks, so that (** s.jeder understand what we are talking to a grad Schei ;-) and (b) on specials of each scene can be referred to (make quasi Directors Comments) without having a new soundtrack must.
A. Be prepared to srt's not so wild. Ich habs already been experimentally made and with the BSPlayer he shows it synonymous clean.

Although one days has taken longer but yesterday was able to test ichs.
So the feature set looks very good, and the inclusion of subtitles done by external file (eg. Srt). However, this tool takes quite a bit (s.Einarbeitungszeit plausible to use it and which I had not previously), because otherwise the only way to be with error raises ;-)
Through other tool suggestions, I am naturally synonymous!
