I would genetically know if this filter is for very strong sunlight helps the recording not to overexpose. In a documentary film I have seen as synonymous much Graufilter (in this case consisted of a filter whose gray top to bottom of light was out) an uninteresting, storm-cloud sky was a great effect

A general recommendation, I can not give you, except that my Hi8 times ND2 too little and brought a ND4 in summer was more frequent in use. My current camcorder vefügen all switchable Graufilter I With the accession of eight and less on their strength.
