HDD format error but the films are still at the Camera!

Maybe someone can help me please!
As of my last vacation I'm back and had wanted to copy the videos to the laptop, it went at once and since then no longer shows me the Camera (; SonyHandycam XR150E HDR) only "HDD format error". I want to reformat the hard drive but do not go there then my recorded videos from a vacation lost.
Is there any way to save the videos yet? Thank you

hard drive and possibly rausholen s.den Calculator connect via adapter.
If that is not - then does it only with the help of data recovery companies.
