Frage von Focuswelten:Hello!
I have with the Canon XH A1 in 1080i mode with 60 fields per second filmed. How can I be 1080p with 30 frames per second progressive reckon / deinterlace?
I have Edius 4 and 5
Thanks for all the answers - synonymous if the question might be stupid!

Changefps () then the desired number of frames ...

Edius I know not, but maybe it's just like in Final Cut Pro:
- New sequence (timeline) in the format 1440 x 1080, 30p create (with Final Cut Pro would be to take ProRes422 codec, I do not know what Codec Edius brings Universal)
- Clip in the timeline, drag
- Render
The important thing is that no progressive HDV 1080 30p Forrmat knows. Ie 1080 30p is 1080 60i, however, both frames (fields) at the same time recorded.
To "true" 30 frames per second to come, so you need a codec which can.

From an interlaced format, you'll never be a truly progressive format can do because you set the timing, with which the two fields have been included, of course not undo it.
The fields are always intertwined expected and the pixels that will arise from an interpolation generates.
There are some tools that are more or less (mostly less) good results can be calculated. The image details but often go by the interpolation lost.
The man (Yves Faroudja), who all his life with this issue and has it really needs to know it even to the point and said: "... interlace to progressive does not work!"
Promise you that is not too good results from it.

Hello!
Thanks for the info.
Only one question: How can videos, which are interlaced, good play? Except on a TV I always see very grauslige edges! I give the videos a beamer vswith again (Canon SX7 with 1400x1050 pixels -> the videos are in the correct 16:9 aspect ratio is created)?
Thanks for any help!

Hello Beppo,
because the only wait! I recently had the announcement of the first beamer read, the adaptive deinterlacing should dominate (this will be investigated, in which no image of the offset between two frames is. These are as they are presented. For moving objects is selectively deinterlacing, ie for example all the odd lines and the even discarded duplicated. This is a mask placed over the picture of what the typical streaks caused by moving objects).
Conclusion:
1080 50p will come. Sooner or later!
